Account Navigator

For users who have multiple trading accounts, an Account Navigator function is available. The Account Navigator is used to search for accounts using keywords, accounts names or account codes. Alternatively it can be used to display an alphabetical list of all accounts, complete with account descriptions.

To open the account navigator

  1. Click the Navigator button.

To display a complete list of accounts

  1. Open the Account Navigator.

  2. Tick the Show All Accounts checkbox. A list of all accounts that you have permission to view and/or trade with appears.

Note: If you have access to advisor sets, you can also limit the search to account with a particular advisor. In the Advisor list, select an advisor set. Select <No Advisor Set> to include all available accounts. Select Current Advisor Account to include only accounts that you are the primary contact for.

  1. Select an account and display it in the original command by doing one of the following:

  1. Click the account that is to be viewed, then click OK.

  2. Click and drag the account into the command and release the mouse button.

To search for a specific account

  1. Open the Account Navigator.

  2. Ensure the Show All Accounts checkbox is unticked.

Note: If you have access to advisor sets, you can also limit the search to account with a particular advisor. In the Advisor list, select an advisor set. Select <No Advisor Set> to include all available accounts. Select Current Advisor Account to include only accounts that you are the primary contact for.

  1. Click on either the Account Codes or Account Names bullet. The selection depends on the criteria you want to use for the search.

  2. Click on either the Starts With or Contains bullet. As with step 1 your selection depends on the criteria you want to use for the search.

  3. Type the search criteria into the Filter Criteria box, then click the Search button.

  4. Select an account and display it in the original command by doing one of the following:

  5. Click the account that is to be viewed, then click OK.

  6. Click and drag the account into the command, then release the mouse button.

Frequently used accounts

The last 20 accounts used in the application are automatically remembered. When you click on the arrow next to the Account list, these accounts display. You can select an account by clicking on it in this list.

Clearing the frequently used accounts list

  1. Click the Navigator button.

  2. Click the Clear Account Cache button. The frequently used accounts are removed from all Account fields.
